What Librarians Look For

Here are four things librarians look for when deciding to purchase a book:

  • Libraries prefer hardcover books to softcover/paperback books.
  • The title included on the spine of the book.
  • Book reviews of the book.
  • If the book won any awards.

If you publish a paperback book, be sure to include the title on the spine.

If you are self-publishing a children’s book, you might have to add pages to met the standards to allow for a title on the spine.  Please be sure to read the publishing companies guidelines.

    • Yes, it is.

A free download until April 25 by Robert Thornhill titled “Lady Justice and the Assassin.” I am going to download it. I read Lady Justice and the Cruise Ship Murders and it was very funny.

So, if you need a laugh or know someone who needs a laugh, have them download the book from Amazon.

      Take care,
